The first two things that came to mind when I heard my diagnosis:

1. Will I be able to share food with people? (answer: Yes)

2. Will I ever be able to find love with HIV? (answer: Chances are slim)

Though a legitimate fear, I don’t think your answer to number two is necessarily true.

I try my best to keep my chin up. Sometimes I find it very difficult to do. I start pitying and blaming myself. I hate that I have HIV (Horrifyingly Insidious Virus). I can choose either to let this take over my life or I could just let it be this small part of me. I have no choice but to choose the latter.
